Roche Bobois: Revenue Down 7.3% in Third Quarter, Second Half Targets Maintained
Roche Bobois published on October 22, 2026 a revenue of €86.5 million for the third quarter, down 7.3% at current exchange rates. The group characterizes this pace as "in line with the trend of previous quarters". The significance of the publication lies less in the decline itself than in its consistency: it allows the furniture specialist to maintain its expectations for the second half, namely revenue and EBITDA close to those of the first half.
Order intake, which foreshadows deliveries in the following months, declined in comparable proportions. The order backlog remaining to be delivered is at a level below that of the previous year.
Revenue of €274.2 Million Over Nine Months, Down 8.4%
Over the first nine months of the fiscal year, revenue amounted to €274.2 million, compared to €299.5 million a year earlier, representing a decline of 8.4% at current exchange rates and 7.4% at constant exchange rates. The group describes this level as in line with its expectations. For the third quarter alone, the decline reaches 7.3% at current exchange rates and 7.9% at constant exchange rates.
The business volume of company-operated stores, which measures order intake excluding taxes, stood at €73.2 million in the third quarter, down 6.8% (7.5% at constant exchange rates). Cumulative through September, it reached €240.3 million compared to €261.7 million a year earlier, representing a decline of 8.2% at current exchange rates and 6.9% at constant exchange rates. Total business volume, including franchisees and all banners combined, amounts to €381.2 million (−8.3% at current exchange rates, −7.3% at constant exchange rates).
Deliveries and Order Intake Down in Similar Proportions
Roche Bobois distinguishes between two indicators: revenue, derived from actual deliveries of company-operated stores and royalties and commissions, and business volume, derived from order intake from the network. The group presents this second indicator as a tool to anticipate revenue in the coming months. For the quarter, the two series evolved in similar proportions: −7.3% for revenue and −6.8% for order intake of company-operated stores, at current exchange rates.
The reading of the trend depends on the exchange rate benchmark. At current exchange rates, the cumulative decline in business volume of company-operated stores narrowed from 8.8% at the end of June to 8.2% at the end of September, which the group describes as a "slight improvement". At constant exchange rates, it increased from 6.6% to 6.9% over the same period.
As of September 30, 2026, the order backlog to be delivered from company-operated stores reached €118.0 million, compared to €127.9 million a year earlier. For reference, the group had generated revenue of €402.5 million for fiscal year 2025, according to the accounts published on April 21, 2026.
Second Half Outlook Confirmed, Network Expanding
The group confirmed its expectations for the second half: revenue and EBITDA at levels close to those of the first half of 2026, which amounted to €187.8 million and €31.4 million respectively. Roche Bobois also indicated that the events that occurred on October 17 had only a "very limited" impact on its overall business, with disruptions remaining primarily concentrated in Paris. Only one store sustained material damage and has since reopened.
On the network side, the group relocated its Atlanta store in July 2026, an operation already presented in its monthly letter published on October 6, 2026, and opened a company-operated store in Porto. By the end of the year, it plans a company-operated opening in Luxembourg and franchise openings in Mexico and France under the Cuir Center banner.
As of September 30, 2026, Roche Bobois operated 336 stores, of which 150 were company-operated, distributed between 261 Roche Bobois points of sale and 75 Cuir Center locations. The structuring element of the publication is the confirmation of the half-year target, supported by revenue of €274.2 million over nine months.
