S.E.B. share falls 2.5% and hits resistance at €60.85 after a 21% rally
The small household appliance manufacturer loses ground at midday, while it was still trading near its recent highs. The decline follows a spectacular summer rally, fueled by half-yearly results that were well received at the end of July.
A technical pullback marking a pause after the strong post-results rebound
The S.E.B. share is down 2.63% to €59.25 in trading, positioning itself among the strongest declines of the SBF 120 in a quasi-stable Paris index (-0.04%). This pullback brings the share back to contact with resistance at €60.85, a threshold it just broke through to the upside last week during a surge of nearly 4%. Today's decline must be viewed in the context of a gain of more than 21% over one month: profit-taking is natural after such an upward move.
The RSI at 70 signals an overbought configuration, consistent with the selling pressure observed at midday. The three moving averages remain well below the current price, with the 20-day MA at €52.10 representing the closest gap with a spread of 13.72%, which reflects the magnitude of the move since the half-yearly publication.
Solid fundamentals following an H1 marked by improved profitability
The rebound that has propelled the share since the end of July stems from the first-half 2026 results: operating income had surged 44%, while revenue remained virtually flat. The market had welcomed the group's cost discipline and the effects of its Rebound plan, causing the share to jump 15.5% on July 23. From a valuation standpoint, the stock trades at approximately 9.8 times expected earnings for the current fiscal year and 7.4 times those for the following year, according to the consensus of analysts surveyed.
Over one year, performance remains negative at -5.2%, illustrating the extent of the ground covered since the low touched around the €46 support level in early July. The €60.85 level now constitutes the immediate resistance to monitor to confirm the continuation of the move.
