SEB Group Awarded Twice at LSA Trophies for Its Recycling Loops in France
In a press release published on October 9, 2026, the SEB Group announced that it had received two distinctions, both in the Industrial category (ex aequo), at the presentation of the LSA Trophies "Consumer Commitment," held on September 29 in Paris. This is not a new decision: these awards recognize initiatives already undertaken, which the group links to a strategy where Corporate Social Responsibility occupies, according to its own terms, a place "at the heart of its strategy and activities."
A French Recycling Loop Around the Rowenta Silence Force 7
The first trophy, awarded in the category "Consumer Commitment in Its Products and Concepts," recognizes a project conducted with the Boulanger retail chain and the company Environnement Recycling around the Rowenta Silence Force 7 vacuum cleaner. According to the group, this work aimed to "demonstrate the feasibility of a French circular loop."
The described system comprises three stages: end-of-life devices collected in stores, plastics recycled in France, then reintegrated into the manufacturing of a new vacuum cleaner produced at the Vernon site. A first series of 12,000 devices was completed.
The SEB Group presents this series as "concrete proof that such a loop can be implemented through cooperation between distributor, recycler, and manufacturer."
The "Made, Remade & Recycled in France" Approach Also Recognized
The second trophy, awarded in the category "Consumer Commitment for French Sovereignty," concerns the "Made, Remade & Recycled in France" approach. This is based on the group's French industrial footprint and covers four activities: production, reconditioning, recycling, and reintegration of recycled materials.
The group inscribes this approach within "a strategy based on our French industrial anchor and the development of more circular models." It recalls in this regard the inauguration, in 2025, of a new reconditioning activity in Is-sur-Tille.
The SEB Group, which describes itself as "a pioneer in the field of repairability and sustainability," links this orientation to "a trajectory of creating sustainable value for all our stakeholders."
