Signify Enriches Philips Smart Lighting Range with Two Connected Products
Dutch lighting manufacturer Signify has unveiled two new connected products within its Philips Smart Lighting line, built around screen synchronization and decorative lighting features.
Two Launches for Consumer Connected Lighting
Signify has announced the launch of two products for its Philips Smart Lighting range. The first, Screen Sync with Strip Light, reproduces in real-time the colors displayed on a television screen using a lens and an RGBIC light strip mounted behind the device. The second, the RGBIC Fairy String Lights, offers decorative lighting designed for indoor and outdoor use.
The Screen Sync is offered as a complete kit in versions adapted for televisions of 40 to 50 inches, 55 to 65 inches and 75 to 85 inches. It can synchronize with smart TV applications, broadcast television and devices connected via HDMI.
String Lights Available in Three Lengths, Compatible with WiZ
The Fairy String Lights are available in lengths of 10, 15 and 20 meters and combine multiple colors with preset effects. Powered by USB-C, they can also be connected to an external battery and are controlled via the application, compatible accessories or voice commands. The controller and lighting benefit from an IP65 protection rating, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
The Philips Smart Lighting range is based on the WiZ platform and connects to the home Wi-Fi network. Signify clarifies that this is a distinct offering from Philips Hue, with its own products, application and ecosystem. Availability and prices vary by market.
