SPIE share returns to test its €40.84 support level, -14% over three months
The multitechnical services group is declining mid-session in a Paris market clearly oriented downward. The security is approaching a technical zone it has been monitoring for several weeks.
A share below its three moving averages, in contact with its support
The SPIE share is down 1.82% at €40.94, while the CAC 40 is losing 1.33% and the SBF 120 is down 1.3%. The price is below the 20-day MA (down 3.40%), the 50-day MA (6.91%) and the 200-day MA (13.24%). It is approaching the support level at €40.84, less than 0.3% from the current price, a level that the security is testing again after having abandoned the €43 threshold at the end of September.
Over three months, the decline has reached 14.17%, and it is 6.36% over one month. The RSI at 41.8 remains in a neutral zone: the movement is slow and continuous, without any selling momentum.
Debt, share buyback and interim results: the SPIE case in detail
The SBF 120 is declining this Monday in a climate of tension over French government debt. The 10-year OAT is at 4.79% according to the latest Bank of France reading from October 16, 1.37 percentage points above the Bund. The Paris market is suffering from this, and SPIE, which ranks 83rd out of 120 in the SBF 120 this morning, is following this trend. On the company side, the group launched on September 21 a Sustainability-linked bond issuance, then accepted the buyback of 70% of its ORNANEs 2028, with the balance to be repaid early on October 22.
When publishing the H1 2026 results on July 30, management stated it was fully confident in its ability to achieve its 2026 objectives. The €59 million share buyback program announced on July 30 represents 0.8% of market capitalization. The market is now following the €40.84 level.
