Stellantis shares rise 12% over the week and test their 50-period moving average
The multi-brand carmaker rises during the session, in a CAC 40 clearly trending higher. This move follows multi-year lows and a quarter that remains very negative.
A weekly rebound that offsets only part of the quarterly decline
Stellantis shares gain 1.82% to €4.16 during the session and have risen 12% over one week. This rebound partly offsets the decline of nearly 16% still recorded over the quarter, and leaves the stock more than 50% below its level of a year earlier.
The price stands 5.3% above its 20-period moving average at €3.95, but remains 0.8% below its 50-period moving average at €4.19, a level the stock is currently testing.
The CAC 40 gains 2.18% at the same time, so Stellantis follows the index's rise without outperforming it: the stock occupies an intermediate position in today's ranking.
Renault, another CAC 40 carmaker, climbs 4.63% after a one-month gain of +13.6%. On the operational side, French vehicle registrations for October, published on November 2, showed a 4.70% decline for the group to 45,731 units, in a growing market.
Third-quarter results that confirmed the 2026 targets
On October 28, Stellantis published third-quarter results showing year-on-year improvement, with North America returning to profitability and Europe posting a loss. The group also confirmed its 2026 financial targets, including a positive industrial free cash flow in 2027.
In terms of valuation, the consensus of the analysts covered places the stock at around 7.9 times earnings for the current fiscal year and 4.4 times those of the following fiscal year. On the price levels, support is at €3.55 and resistance at €4.28, or about 3% from the current price.
