SWI Group raises 800 million euros to accelerate in AI infrastructure
Through this operation reserved for institutional investors, the holding company listed on Euronext Amsterdam has brought total equity raised since March 2026 to more than one billion euros. The capital increase is part of the transformation announced by the group towards digital infrastructures and AI computing.
Data centers and AI computing in Europe and the United States
The funds raised are intended to develop and expand the group's capabilities in data centers and AI computing. The press release cites electrical infrastructure, IT deployments and the implementation of the development program "on both sides of the Atlantic". The stated objective is to accelerate the consolidation and expansion of its transatlantic digital infrastructure and its AI-based computing platform.
The company also indicates that this additional financial capacity should enable it to make new investments in AI and strengthen its participation in its existing investments. For Max-Hervé George, founder and chief executive officer, the operation "aims to remain aligned with the evolution of the IT and data center markets".
Free float increased to approximately 20% and options subject to conditions
The capital increase is carried out through the issuance of new ordinary shares in several tranches, bringing the total share capital to 558,399,385 ordinary shares. The operation broadens the base of institutional shareholders and increases the company's free float to approximately 20% of the share capital.
As part of the operation, certain investors are granted options on their shares. These options are conditional upon the achievement of key milestones.
