SWI Group Partners with Templus to Deploy 13 MW of AI Infrastructure in Spain
The holding company listed on Euronext Amsterdam has selected data center operator Templus as its Spanish partner for deploying artificial intelligence infrastructure. The announcement was made on October 26, 2026, the same day the group launched SWI Compute.
Templus Selected as SWI Group's Partner in Spain
SWI Group and Templus have announced a strategic agreement for the deployment of 13 MW of artificial intelligence infrastructure in Spain. The press release presents this partnership as a means to bring to Europe the first deployment of one of the world's leading AI platforms.
Templus operates a network of regional data centers located in Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark and Switzerland. For Jaume Sabater, chief executive officer of Stoneweg (SWI Group entity), this agreement "reinforces SWI Group's objective of creating the best digital infrastructure, in the best locations, with the most advanced AI solutions".
High-Density AI Capabilities for Enterprises
The 13 MW are intended for high-density AI operations. According to the press release, the project aims to meet the demand from companies seeking scalable, low-latency and sovereign AI capacities.
Clients will have access, through this partnership, to data center environments designed for artificial intelligence uses. The choice of Spain is presented by both companies as positioning the country to host advanced AI workloads.
A Step in SWI Group's Refocusing on Digital Infrastructure
SWI Group, born from the merger of Icona and Stoneweg, describes itself as a transatlantic investment group allocating more than 80% of its capital to digital infrastructure. The agreement with Templus is part of a series of recent announcements in this field.
The group announced on October 12, 2026 a capital increase of 800 million euros, after becoming a cloud partner of NVIDIA on August 31, 2026. The Spanish partnership was unveiled at the same time as the launch of SWI Compute, presented at the NVIDIA GTC Berlin conference.
