Toosla launches Dual Mode and transforms into a mobility platform
The car rental company listed on Euronext Growth Paris has introduced a new operating model allowing the same vehicle to alternate between traditional rental and connected rental.
The announcement reflects an evolution that the company describes as a transition from a digital rental model to an open platform for industry professionals.
The same vehicle usable in traditional or connected rental
Toosla announced on September 17, 2026 the launch of Toosla Dual Mode, presented as allowing, for the first time, the same vehicle to be operated alternatively in traditional rental or connected rental, without changing the IT system or modifying the rental company's processes.
According to the company, this operating model makes the platform agnostic and creates a link between traditional rental and connected rental. The vehicle becomes, in its terms, omnichannel, capable of adapting to customer needs, the rental company's operational constraints and available business opportunities.
A building block added to Toosla Marketplace and Toosla Connect
The company places this announcement within a transformation undertaken over several years. A first stage had opened the distribution of vehicles from partner rental companies via the reservation platform, marketed under the name Toosla Marketplace. A second stage, Toosla Connect, had opened Toosla's technology (digital customer journey, vehicle opening via smartphone, telematics, payments, artificial intelligence, operating tools) to professionals.
Panayotis Staicos, Chief Executive Officer of Toosla, stated: "Historically, we were a digital rental company. Today, we are a global mobility platform that brings together three complementary areas of expertise: reservation distribution with Toosla Marketplace, technology with Toosla Connect and now omnichannel operations with Toosla Dual Mode." He indicates that rental companies are developing their business without changing their trade and that Toosla is pursuing its ambition to make its technology a standard in service to the profession.
