TotalEnergies: Patrick Pouyanné's mandate proposed for renewal in 2027
Following its annual strategic seminar on September 23 and 24, 2026, TotalEnergies' Board of Directors validated the continuity of its governance and set the framework for mandates to be submitted to the General Meeting in May 2027.
The group also indicates that its outlook will be presented to investors on September 28, 2026.
A strategy reaffirmed around Oil & Gas and Integrated Power
The Board of Directors reviewed the Company's strategic outlook and reaffirmed, according to the statement unanimously, the relevance of the strategy implemented around two pillars: Oil & Gas and Integrated Power.
This review was held during the annual strategic seminar on September 23 and 24, 2026. The group specifies that its outlook will be presented on September 28, 2026 to investors.
Renewal of Pouyanné and Aschenbroich's mandates in 2027
The Board pronounced itself on the continuity of governance and decided unanimously on the continuation of the unified exercise of the functions of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. It indicated that this unity of management is part of a balance of powers framework overseen by a Lead Director, interlocutor with shareholders.
On the proposal of the Governance and Ethics Committee, the Board decided to recommend to the General Meeting in May 2027 the renewal of the mandate of Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since December 2015, as well as that of Jacques Aschenbroich, Lead Director since May 2023.
Jacques Aschenbroich recalled that the modification of statutory age limits submitted to the General Meeting of May 29, 2026 had received shareholder support of nearly 98%. Patrick Pouyanné and Jacques Aschenbroich did not participate in the deliberations concerning them.
