Valbiotis: 50,000 boxes of dietary supplements ordered by its Chinese joint venture
In a press release published on November 2, 2026, Valbiotis stated that its Chinese joint venture placed two orders totaling 50,000 boxes of 90 capsules. The first order, delivered at the end of October, will be included in revenue for the second half of 2026.
The La Rochelle-based laboratory presents this delivery as the prerequisite for the first sales to Chinese consumers, expected by the end of 2026, “in line with the announced timetable”.
An exclusive supplier model and entry through cross-border e-commerce
The joint venture Hangzhou Valbiotis Life Health Technology is 49% owned by Valbiotis and 51% by its partner Aika. The two orders cover the four references of the Valbiotis PRO range (Cholesterol, Metabolic Health, Cardiovascular Circulation, Liver).
The second order is currently in production, with shipment planned in the coming weeks. It will also be recorded in the second half of 2026 if it is shipped before December 31, 2026.
Valbiotis is the exclusive supplier of the joint venture: it invoices the products to the joint venture, while sales to consumers remain the responsibility of the joint venture. The products will then be listed by its Hong Kong subsidiary on the main cross-border e-commerce platforms, such as Tmall Global, JD Worldwide, Kaola and Xiaohongshu.
This channel represents approximately 10% of the Chinese dietary supplements market, estimated at between 30 and 40 billion euros depending on the categories considered, according to estimates cited by the company. According to Valbiotis, the retail selling price on this channel will be “significantly higher” than that charged in France.
Traditional distribution in China will be targeted in a second phase, once the products are registered in the country.
Hong Kong and Singapore: three registered products, a pharmacy channel under consideration
Outside mainland China, the joint venture has obtained the required registrations for three products in the range (Cholesterol, Metabolic Health, Cardiovascular Circulation) for marketing in Hong Kong and Singapore. The Liver reference is expected to follow in these two markets. The joint venture is studying physical distribution there, notably in pharmacies, in addition to online sales.
The rollout is set to continue in eight priority markets (China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Macao, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia) and seven other target markets (South Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand).
