Hopscotch launches Hopscotch Public Engagement to target European institutions
In a press release published on November 3, 2026, the communication group listed on Euronext Growth announced the creation of Hopscotch Public Engagement. This entity primarily targets European institutions and, more broadly, the European public sector, a large part of whose needs are met through multi-year, multidisciplinary framework contracts.
An integrated offer tailored to European framework contracts
The group presents this launch as a reflection of its ambition to strengthen its presence with the institutions of the European Union. These institutions entrust a large part of their communication work to multi-year framework contracts covering several areas of expertise and several countries, generally divided into multiple lots.
To meet these needs, the new entity brings together the group’s expertise: 360° communication campaigns, events, digital, influence and public relations. According to the press release, these contracts require close coordination among several disciplines and teams, which this integrated offer is intended to enable.
Hopscotch relies on more than 40 offices worldwide and on the experience of its international network, formerly Sopexa, with regulated sectors and European programs aimed at agriculture and agri-food. The group is already running international campaigns for the European Commission’s DG AGRI and for the European Research Executive Agency (REA).
Two co-leaders from ICF Next at the helm in Brussels
Based in Brussels, Hopscotch Public Engagement is co-led by Caroline Danloy and Nicolas Balland. The former has 25 years of experience in strategic communication for international and European institutional clients, notably as vice-president of ICF Next. The latter, with more than 20 years of experience, held several positions at ICF Next before taking over as managing director of Tipik.
The entity works alongside Hopscotch Belgium, the group’s brand communication agency for the Belgian market, led by Mélanie Rouchy. For Sylvain Rouchy, vice-president of global operations at Hopscotch, this launch reflects the conviction that “the biggest communication challenges are now played out on a European scale”.
Nicolas Balland said he had developed this project with Caroline Danloy over several years before they met Hopscotch. The initiative is backed by a group of more than 1,200 employees, which reported revenue of €270.8 million in 2025 for a gross margin of €98.8 million.
