Verizon Deploys Google Cloud AI and Gemini Enterprise for Modernization
Google Cloud announced a strategic partnership agreement with Verizon focused on deploying its artificial intelligence technology stack. The American telecommunications operator will rely on Google Cloud's data infrastructure and Gemini Enterprise to modernize its operations.
An Agreement Centered on Deploying Google Cloud's AI Stack
Google Cloud announced on August 24, 2026 a new strategic partnership agreement with Verizon. The agreement covers the delivery of experiences to consumers and businesses at scale across the United States.
Under this partnership, Verizon is deploying Google Cloud's entire AI stack, including its data infrastructure and Gemini Enterprise. The operator intends to modernize its customer experiences, unify its enterprise data, and extend AI usage across its entire organization.
Customer Experience, Network and Data at the Heart of Deployment
The existing partnership between Verizon and Google Cloud on contact center technology has evolved toward Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience. According to the announcement, the platform handles the majority of inbound consumer calls and conversations each month.
Verizon is also implementing an autonomous network intelligence framework, with Google Cloud as the data platform partner, to anticipate and resolve network anomalies. The operator is also leveraging Google Cloud's data and AI solutions for its marketing platforms and the strengthening of its cloud security.
The Agentic Data Cloud as Unified Data Foundation
The announcement indicates that Verizon has conducted a multi-year consolidation of its historical data lakes into Google's Agentic Data Cloud. This step served as the foundation for the current acceleration in AI, by breaking down data silos and establishing a single source of truth.
According to Google Cloud, this architecture manages and unifies all types of data, from structured operational databases to unstructured documents. It enables Verizon to build and deploy AI agents within its various operating units.
