Vicat share falls 2.5% and drops below its 20-day moving average
The Isère-based cement maker is correcting this Thursday following solid gains posted the previous day, in a European market also oriented downward. This decline brings the stock below a closely monitored technical threshold, while the group's fundamentals remain well-oriented following the publication of its half-year results at the end of July.
A decline that places the stock below its 20-day MA, in an SBF 120 under pressure
Vicat is down 2.26% at €64.80 during the session, following a marked advance the previous day. The stock is falling back below its 20-day moving average (€65.57), with a gap of -1.17%, while remaining above its 50-day MA at €64.21 (gap +0.92%). Short-term momentum is therefore reversing slightly, without calling into question the intermediate foundation.
The RSI at 57 remains in neutral territory, far from any extreme signals, and indicates neither overbought nor seller exhaustion. This decline is occurring against an unfavorable market backdrop: the CAC 40 is down 1.1% during the session and the SBF 120 is declining by 1.03%, with marked declines across several financial and construction stocks. Over the week, the stock remains in positive territory (+2.05%), and the one-month performance exceeds 7.6%.

Today's decline is occurring against a positive fundamental backdrop. The half-year results published on July 29, 2026 showed revenue up 10.8% on a like-for-like basis and constant exchange rates, at €2,036 million, and EBITDA up 13.6% on the same basis, at €367 million. The group had then raised its annual targets, driven notably by a strong African contribution. On the basis of expected earnings per share, according to the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock is trading at approximately 9.7 times current fiscal year earnings and 8.7 times the following year's, with projected EPS growth of close to 12% from one fiscal year to the next. Resistance at €68.70 remains the obstacle to overcome to resume a marked uptrend, while support at €59.80 provides significant cushioning below current prices.

Guidance from the release
