Virbac: Its Thai subsidiary celebrates 30 years with €13 million in revenue in 2025
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its Bangkok subsidiary, Virbac published on October 6, 2026 a press release tracing its development in Thailand, where business reached 13 million euros in revenue in 2025. This is institutional communication in which the group indicates that this subsidiary confirms the "driving role" of Southeast Asia in its international development.
Pig farming, companion animals and aquaculture: three pillars
The veterinary laboratory describes a strategy based on alignment with the sanitary and economic specificities of the Thai territory. In livestock, Virbac targets a pig farming industry presented as "highly structured", with preventive and vaccine solutions, including oral vaccines against edema disease and piglet diarrhea. The companion animal segment is recording, according to the press release, the strongest growth of the subsidiary. The group attributes this to the development of veterinary medicalization and the growing place of animals within households. Aquaculture, described as an emblematic sector of the country, constitutes for Virbac a "strong strategic lever". The company relies on the historical expertise inherited from Bio-Solution.
Three development phases and 87% growth since 2017
From 1996 to 2016, the subsidiary developed through a local partner distribution network, quadrupled its offering and acquired Bio-Solution, an operation that consolidated the group's expertise in aquaculture. In 2017, it set up a sales team of 30 people and deployed a multi-channel distribution model. Since 2021, Virbac Thailand has launched an e-commerce business in the companion animal segment. The subsidiary now manages a portfolio of 65 products and displays growth of 87% since 2017. The group attributes this progression to the structuring of sales to major livestock accounts and digital channels for companion animals. On September 7, 2026, the subsidiary's teams and the Far East Asia zone management met in Bangkok for this anniversary. "This ceremony was an opportunity to warmly thank our teams for their daily commitment, as well as our customers and partners for their renewed trust," declared Yotin Dokrakklang, general manager of the subsidiary.
