Virbac Share: Down 5.5% Over the Quarter, the Stock Rebounds 2.5%
The veterinary laboratory from Carros rebounds sharply during the session, in a Paris market that recovers after several days under pressure. The movement occurs as the stock seeks to close out a difficult quarter.
A rebound that brings the stock back above its 20-day moving average
The Virbac share gains 2.36% to €314.25 in trading, compared to €307 at the previous close. It ranks among the strongest gains of the SBF 120, which advances 0.66%. The stock moves back above its MA20 (€309.05, representing a gap of 1.68%), after falling below its support level of €302 on October 1st, which the price had briefly broken through before rebounding. The RSI at 42 remains neutral, far from overbought zones.
The path remains long toward longer-term averages: the MA50 (€323.05) is 2.72% above the current price, the MA200 (€344.64) is 8.82% above. Over one month, the stock declines 1.49%, and 5.35% over three months. The session unfolds in a context of tension on French debt, with a 10-year OAT at 4.90% according to the Bank of France reading from October 2nd.

Today's rebound is supported by fundamentals that the market had poorly received three weeks ago. On September 17th, after the close, Virbac had published organic growth of 7.4% in the first half, with 2026 objectives confirmed at the upper end of the range. The stock had nevertheless declined 5.5% the following day. The group subsequently announced the appointment of a non-voting director to the board of directors and a new member to the audit committee, effective September 17th.
On the shareholder side, the €1 billion share buyback program announced on June 9th, 2026 remains in the background. Sector analysts and the consensus on the stock are available on our dedicated page. On resistance and support levels, resistance at €332 is located 5.6% above the current price, while the €302 support level remains the benchmark on the downside.
