Dassault Aviation: Falcon 10X Successfully Completes Its First Flight at Bordeaux-Mérignac

System Validation at 12,000 Meters

The takeoff occurred at 11:10 AM from runway 23 at Bordeaux-Mérignac, with test pilot Sébastien Dupont de Dinechin and co-pilot Fabrice Dougnac at the controls. The crew assessed the maneuverability qualities and systems of the aircraft at an altitude of 5,000 meters, before climbing to 12,000 meters where the aircraft reached Mach 0.82. The landing was completed without incident at 1:40 PM. According to the test pilot, the flight went 'as expected, with genuine pleasure in handling the controls'.

Testing Campaign Across Three Aircraft

The first Falcon 10X will be followed by a second test aircraft currently nearing completion. A third aircraft, equipped with a full cabin, will primarily be used for functionality and reliability testing of the systems and cabin. The group emphasizes that it is the only aerospace manufacturer set to fly an entirely new aircraft in 2026.
