Michelin Appoints Bénédicte de Bonnechose as Chief Financial Officer
Tire manufacturer Michelin announced on Tuesday the appointment of Bénédicte de Bonnechose as the group's Chief Financial Officer effective June 1, 2026. She will succeed Yves Chapot in this role.
Current Roles and Responsibilities
According to the press release dated January 21, Bénédicte de Bonnechose currently holds operational roles within the group. A member of Michelin's executive committee since January 1, 2021, she oversees the Long Distance Transport and Urban Transport business lines, as well as the Europe region. She joined the group in April 2019 as deputy financial director, a position she held before moving to broader responsibilities.
Career Background
Per the group, Bénédicte de Bonnechose began her professional career at the audit firm Deloitte, where she spent four years working in the industry and distribution sectors. She then embarked on a career spanning more than 25 years at Lafarge Group, initially in financial roles. From 2007, the press release notes, she moved into business management and operational responsibilities in the cement, aggregates, and concrete activities. Between 2015 and 2018, she served as the president of LafargeHolcim France and Belgium.
Upcoming Transition
Bénédicte de Bonnechose's tenure as Chief Financial Officer will commence on June 1, 2026, as announced by the Compagnie Générale des Établissements Michelin from its headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand. She will take over from Yves Chapot, who is currently the group's financial director.
