Ontex Appoints Laurent Nielly as Chief Executive Officer
The board of directors of Ontex has appointed Laurent Nielly as the next chief executive officer, succeeding Gustavo Calvo Paz in May 2026.
Leadership Transition
According to Ontex's announcement, Laurent Nielly will be appointed as the chief executive officer at the end of Gustavo Calvo Paz's term, during the next annual general meeting of shareholders scheduled for May 5, 2026. Since 2021, Laurent Nielly has served as the president of Ontex's Europe division, overseeing brand distribution and healthcare sectors across Europe. Before this, he led Ontex's operations in Brazil. He brings over 25 years of experience, having held significant roles at P&G, McKinsey & Company, PepsiCo, and Coty.
Acknowledging Past Contributions
Ontex's board of directors expressed their gratitude towards Gustavo Calvo Paz for his contributions as the chief executive officer and a board member, the company states. Under his leadership, Ontex implemented a strategic transformation, including the divestiture of non-core activities and optimization of its operational footprint. According to Hans Van Bylen, chairman of the board, 'Under the leadership of Gustavo Calvo Paz, we have accelerated our strategic realignment and taken significant steps to strengthen our business and operations.'
