Ontex Receives EcoVadis Gold Certification for Second Consecutive Year
Ontex Group NV has announced its achievement of the EcoVadis Gold certification for the second consecutive year, placing the company in the top 3% of globally evaluated companies. This recognition affirms the group's commitment to sustainable development according to established international criteria.
Sustained Excellence in Sustainability
Ontex has been awarded a Gold rating by EcoVadis, a global sustainability assessment body for companies. The group has seen an improvement in its overall score compared to the previous year. The evaluation covers key sustainability areas: environmental performance, ethics, labor rights and human rights, as well as responsible sourcing. According to Ontex, the rating reflects the strong foundations built across its value chain and confirms that the group's policies, objectives, and actions are translating into measurable progress.
A Foundation for Continuous Improvement
Annick De Poorter, Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer, states that for Ontex, the EcoVadis rating is a starting point rather than an endpoint, supporting continuous improvement and responsible long-term partnerships. EcoVadis evaluations are based on international sustainability standards, including the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organization, the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative, and the ISO 26000 standard.
