A single interface for satellite, fiber and IP
SES announced on September 11, 2026 the launch of SES Core, described by the group as a content orchestration and hybrid distribution platform. It is designed to enable broadcasters and media clients to manage, monitor and route content via satellite, fiber and IP protocol. Built on an architecture described as infrastructure-neutral, the platform offers a single user interface. By bringing together multiple distribution technologies in a single orchestration layer, it allows, according to SES, the selection of the most suitable routing path.
Real-time supervision and redundancy
The group indicates that SES Core gives customers real-time visibility into service status through active content flow monitoring. The platform provides network performance indicators, automates certain operational tasks and offers redundancy options. According to SES, these functions should help broadcasters manage distribution more autonomously, simplify their operations and support business continuity. For Deepak Mathur, president of SES's Media business, customers are seeking simpler solutions to manage increasingly complex distribution environments, at a time when hybrid working processes are becoming the norm, a development to which SES Core responds.
