Airbus Helicopters: Life Flight Network Orders Five Additional H135s
Aeromedical transport operator Life Flight Network has placed an order for five twin-engine H135 helicopters, announced Airbus on October 26, 2026 from Fort Worth, Texas.
The aircraft are intended for emergency medical missions in the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West.
Five Aircraft Added to Three H135s Ordered in 2025
This new order extends the three H135s that Life Flight Network ordered in 2025. The helicopters will be used for emergency transport of seriously ill or injured patients in communities across Oregon, Washington State, Idaho and Montana.
According to the statement, the deliveries will equip the operator's medical teams with modern flight decks and dedicated clinical space.
Life Flight Network Leader Highlights Terrain of Served Areas
"Every investment in our fleet is an investment in the patients and communities that depend on us," said Ben Clayton, Chief Executive Officer of Life Flight Network. He emphasized that his crews serve communities separated by mountain ranges, oceans and vast rural distances, in the Pacific Northwest, the Intermountain West and Hawaii.
Ben Clayton indicated that the operator would continue its partnership with Airbus. For its part, Bart Reijnen, Head of the North America region at Airbus Helicopters, spoke of the customer's "renewed confidence" in the group's helicopters.
More Than 1,500 H135 Family Helicopters in Service
The H135 features, according to Airbus, an air-conditioned cabin, a main rotor mounted high and a shrouded Fenestron tail rotor, designed to enhance ground safety during patient boarding. The aircraft integrates the Helionix avionics suite, which includes a four-axis autopilot designed to reduce pilot workload, day and night.
More than 1,500 helicopters from the H135 family are in service worldwide. They have accumulated more than 8 million flight hours in medical, law enforcement and utility configurations.
