Among the strongest gains in the CAC 40, Air Liquide stock targets its resistance level
The industrial and medical gas group is among the values rising in an almost stable CAC 40. The market keeps in focus the strategic plan presented at the beginning of last week, with its shareholder return component.
A clear gain in an almost stable CAC 40, above the three moving averages
The stock rises by 1.24% to €170.80, while the CAC 40 gains 0.06% at midday. In a quiet index, Air Liquide is among the strongest gains in the CAC 40. The price is above its three moving averages, 1.76% above the 20-day MA and 4.83% above the 200-day MA. Over the week, the increase remains minimal (+0.02%), so that today's session provides the stock with most of its recent movement.
The group is trading 2.3% below its resistance threshold at €173.18. On the analyst side, CIC Market Solutions raised its price target from €200 to €210 on October 12, before confirming it on October 13, with a buy rating. The €210 target represents an upside potential of approximately 23% compared to today's price. Analyst views and consensus are detailed elsewhere.
Beyond Plan, share buyback and bond issuance: three announcements in one week
Presented on October 5, the Beyond strategic plan provides for more than €40 billion in capital allocated by 2030, a recurring ROCE above 11% and, for the first time, a €4 billion share buyback program. The stock had already been among the best performers in the CAC 40 that day. The group then returned to the bond market: on October 6, it completed a three-tranche issuance of €2 billion, with a weighted average rate below 4% after hedging.
Over three months, the stock remains down 2.01%, but it gains 10.78% over one year. The next level to monitor in the data is the resistance at €173.18.
