Atos Group stock hits its 27.78 € resistance and falls 3%
The IT services and cybersecurity group slips noticeably mid-session, while the Paris market remains upward-biased. This decline follows a marked rebound and as short sales gain ground.
A pullback that cuts the rebound, without eroding the lead over moving averages
The Atos Group stock falls 3.13% to 26.60 €, against 27.46 € at the previous close, while the SBF 120 gains 0.4%.
The stock ranks among the largest declines in the index, but this move follows a 14.3% rebound over one week. It remains 12.1% above its MM20 at 23.73 €, while the MM200, at 34.30 €, is still 22.5% above the price.
Today's session closed below the 27.78 € resistance, which the stock did not break. This step is all the more visible as the RSI at 59 still left room to rise: the decline looks more like profit-taking than a reversal. Over one year, however, the stock has lost 47.6%.
Net short positions climb to 4.38% of capital, up 0.87 point in one month
Five funds now hold a cumulative 4.38% of the capital sold short, according to the declarations consulted, compared with 3.51% thirty days ago.
The increase is rapid: nearly one point in one month, while the stock was rebounding. This level signals that institutional investors remain positioned for a decline or are seeking to hedge an exposure, without it being possible to infer their motivations.
On the fundamentals side, the third quarter published on 21 October showed an organic decline limited to 2.4% and a first positive cash generation since the Genesis plan. On this occasion, the group confirmed its objectives for fiscal year 2026. The next key figure to watch remains the 27.78 € resistance.
