Atos share rebounds 2.5% and moves back above its 20-day moving average
The IT group's share rebounds sharply during mid-session trading, in a nearly stable SBF 120 index. Two target price revisions published on Monday by brokerage firms are fueling investor attention on the stock, just days after the publication of half-year results.
A rebound that pushes the share above its 20-day moving average in a directionless Paris market
The Atos Group share gains 2.39% to €32.56 during trading, placing it among the strongest gainers of the SBF 120 at mid-day, while the index remains flat (-0.05%). This upturn brings the share above its 20-day moving average, set at €31.41, with a positive gap of 3.66%. However, the 50-day moving average at €34.12 remains above the current price, at a distance of 4.57%, and the 200-day moving average at €41.69 stays far away, nearly 22% above.
The RSI at 46 remains in neutral territory, showing no overbought signals nor exhaustion of the upward momentum. Over the week, the share advances 2%, but it still loses 4.24% over one month, marking a decline of 6.44% over three months. The next resistance level is situated at €34.58, a level Atos would need to break through to confirm a more pronounced turnaround.
Oddo BHF lowers its target to €39 while Invest Securities maintains its buy rating at €58
Two revisions were published on August 3 by analysts following the stock. Oddo BHF reduced its price target from €43 to €39, while adopting a neutral rating, representing a premium of nearly 20% compared to the current price. Invest Securities, for its part, maintains its buy rating with a target lowered from €60 to €58, representing an upside potential of approximately 78% from current levels.
These revisions come in the wake of first-half 2026 results published on July 30, which showed revenue declining 8.9% on a constant perimeter basis, partially offset by operating margin improving 2.1 percentage points to 5.7%. The divergence between the two opinions reflects contrasting interpretations of the group's trajectory: margin improvement on one side, persistent revenue erosion on the other. The support level at €28.62 remains the downside reference in case of a reversal.
