BNP Paribas Extends Its Partnership with Roland-Garros Until At Least 2031
BNP Paribas and the French Tennis Federation announce on Sunday the renewal of their historic collaboration. The partnership, which began in 1973, will continue from 2027 for a minimum duration of five years.
A Partnership Extended for Over Fifty Years
The partnership between BNP Paribas and Roland-Garros has spanned more than fifty years. The initial commitment dates back to 1973 when the BNP agency in Auteuil supported and financed the expansion of the central court. This renewal confirms the continuity of this collaboration between BNP Paribas and the French Tennis Federation, encompassing both the tournament and support for the development of federal tennis. The new agreement, effective from 2027, marks a new cycle for one of the most enduring collaborations in global sports. It comes with a renewed commitment from BNP Paribas to strengthen the development of tennis at all levels, particularly among the younger generations of players.
Support for the Development of French and International Tennis
BNP Paribas extends its commitment well beyond the Parisian tournament. The bank currently supports 53 young players in France and over 150 worldwide through the BNP Paribas Young Talent Team, launched in 2018 under the leadership of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Alizé Cornet. The partnership also includes support for clubs through the Terres Plan, led by Gilles Moretton, aimed at preserving and enhancing the heritage of clay courts. BNP Paribas continues its commitment to ball kids for over fifty years, now enhanced by the creation of the French Tennis Federation's Ball Kids Academy.
Accessibility Actions and Digital Initiatives
For the 2026 edition of Roland-Garros, BNP Paribas enhances the accessibility of the tournament with a dedicated ticketing for youth, offering 40,000 tickets at a reduced rate (50%) for spectators under 25. The bank also supports partner associations working for inclusion in tennis, notably Fête le Mur and Attrap' la balle. Digitally, BNP Paribas offers unique content through the We Are Tennis platform to more than 2.6 million fans worldwide. This year, the bank launches season 2 of the Ball Kids Academy, broadcast on We Are Tennis, which will follow the journey of the ball kids from the initial selections to the final.
