Derichebourg stock breaks through its support at €8.68 and extends its decline
The ferrous recycling group's share is losing ground on Wednesday in an SBF 120 that is itself slightly down. The downward break of its technical support is part of a gradual deterioration over several weeks, as CIC Market Solutions lowered its price target the previous day.
A support at €8.68 breached, with three moving averages above the price
The Derichebourg share is trading at €8.56 during the session, down 1.78% compared to Tuesday's close of €8.71. The session is marked by a notable breach: the price has broken through the €8.68 support and remains below it, which extends the downward pressure from the week (-7.16% over seven days). All moving averages now stand above the price.
The 20-day MA is at €9.11, representing a 6.04% gap above the current price, the 50-day MA at €9.21 (7.06% gap), and the 200-day MA at €8.83, also above by 3.06%. The RSI at 38 reflects a bearish configuration without yet signaling a clear oversold zone, but the momentum has remained unfavorable since the beginning of the quarter, with a decline of 14.31% over three months. Over one year, the balance remains positive at +64.3%, which puts the current corrective move into perspective.
CIC Market Solutions lowers its target the previous day, Invest Securities maintains its objective at €11.30
Two analyst opinions shed light on the situation. CIC Market Solutions revised its target downward on September 22, reducing it from €10.80 to €9.70 while maintaining a buy rating. The revised target nonetheless represents a rebound potential of approximately 13% compared to the current price. On September 21, Invest Securities maintained a more ambitious target of €11.30, representing a theoretical potential of nearly 32%, also with a buy rating. These two positions reflect a positive consensus on the stock despite the recent correction.
From a fundamental standpoint, the €800 million green bond issuance launched in early September, intended to refinance the Scholz acquisition, had already weighed on the stock on the day of its announcement. Following the publication of H1 2026 results (May 28, 2026), the group had issued prudent guidance on EBITDA at €360 million, highlighting difficulties in the second half of the previous fiscal year and vigilance regarding the geopolitical context. According to the analyst consensus tracked, the stock is trading around nine times the expected earnings of the current fiscal year, with anticipated EPS growth of nearly 15% over one year, which remains a moderate valuation level for a stock in correction. The next resistance to watch is placed at €9.44.
