Envipco selected as preferred supplier of deposit return machines in the United Kingdom
The Dutch manufacturer of automated deposit return machines is continuing its expansion in the United Kingdom, where the Deposit Return Scheme is scheduled to come into effect on October 1st, 2027.
Preferred supplier agreement with a British food wholesaler
Envipco Holding N.V. announced on September 23rd, 2026 that it had been selected as one of two preferred suppliers of automated deposit return machines (Reverse Vending Machines, RVM) to a British food and beverage wholesaler.
This wholesaler supplies thousands of points of sale across the United Kingdom and supports a network of independent convenience retailers and grocery stores.
Preparing for the launch of the British deposit return scheme
Under this agreement, Envipco will offer its portfolio of automated deposit return solutions to participating retailers preparing for the introduction of the Deposit Return Scheme in the United Kingdom, scheduled to launch on October 1st, 2027.
According to the group, the commercial impact of this agreement is expected to develop progressively as participating retailers evaluate and deploy deposit return equipment in advance of the scheme's implementation.
Strengthened presence on the British market
The group's Chief Executive Officer, José Matthijsse, indicated that this relationship strengthens Envipco's position on the British market and extends its reach to a network of independent retailers.
This announcement comes after the September 11th, 2026 announcement, when the group indicated it would supply 600 deposit return machines to stores of the Ahold Delhaize group in Romania.
