Franprix completes its reorganisation with the Zouari family and takes 100% control of Pro Distribution
Announced on 8 June 2026, the transaction reorganises the ownership of two entities linked to the Franprix network. It was completed, according to a press release published on 2 November 2026, and forms part of a partnership that both parties describe as historic, more than 25 years old.
The Zouari family holds 60% of Franprix's development company
The company dedicated to developing the Franprix network is now organised around a equity partnership. The Zouari family holds 60%, while Franprix holds the remaining 40%.
This component is the first pillar of the transaction. The shareholding structure thus brings together the banner of the Plesio group and the Zouari family within a single entity responsible for developing the network.
Franprix raises its stake in Pro Distribution to 100%
In parallel, Franprix now holds the entirety of Pro Distribution, in which it previously held a 73% stake. This entity operates approximately 90 stores.
According to the group, completing the transaction provides “a clearer, more agile organisation better suited to the network's development ambitions”.
A group of nearly 25,000 employees and seven banners
Plesio presents itself as the leading network of local retailers in France. The group claims nearly 25,000 employees, approximately 6,500 stores and business volume of €12.5 billion in 2025.
It brings together seven brands: Monoprix, Casino, Spar, Vival, Cdiscount, Franprix and Naturalia. Its parent company, Casino, Guichard-Perrachon, is listed on Euronext Paris.
