GenOway targets over 20% growth in Catalogue Models in the first half of 2027
The company's CEO, based in Lyon, expects growth for 2026 above the 15% projection for this scope. In China, the joint venture, excluded from these targets, generated in the third quarter of 2026 alone as much revenue as in the entire first half.
A growth target of over 20% in the first half of 2027 and an accelerating Chinese joint venture
The commercial update published by GenOway on November 3, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. includes a new quantified target. It concerns sales of Catalogue Models, the ready-to-use humanized models that the company began developing in 2018 for research in immuno-oncology and immunotherapies.
Alexandre Fraichard, Chief Executive Officer, anticipates Catalogue Model sales at the end of 2026, excluding the Chinese joint venture, to be “more than in line with our projections of 15% growth.” For the first half of 2027, the target is set at growth of over 20%, still excluding the Chinese joint venture.
The two thresholds do not cover the same period: the 15% figure concerns the year 2026, while the 20% figure concerns the first half of 2027 alone. The CEO links this trajectory to the commercial portfolio built up and announces an acceleration in investments, “in particular in our internal sales teams and our franchises.”
The Chinese joint venture follows its own trajectory. Established in December 2023, it generated its first revenue in 2024, exceeded one million euros in 2025, and reached €2.4 million in the first half of 2026.
Its revenue for the third quarter of 2026 already amounts to €2.4 million, the same amount as for the whole of the first half. According to GenOway, this growth “is now profitable” and should continue at a strong pace over the coming quarters.
The joint venture aims for revenue of more than €10 million in 2027. GenOway specifies that this revenue is generated in the domestic market of its two main competitors.
Japan and franchises: new revenue drivers targeted for 2027
In Japan, the subsidiary created in March 2026 has begun building its commercial portfolio. According to the company, prospecting has generated about one prospect per week for the past two months, and the stated objective for this entity is revenue of more than €1 million in 2027.
In its other strategic regions, GenOway relies on a franchise model entrusted to local entrepreneurs with in-depth knowledge of their market. This system was implemented to accelerate the group's commercial presence in these countries.
The first two franchises opened in Canada and Australia in the second quarter of 2026, with initial prospecting results that the company considers “promising.” GenOway has announced the creation of a franchise in Spain, the first in Europe.
The set timetable provides for the opening of two new franchises before the end of 2026, then a network of 10 franchises by the end of 2027. Financially, the company expects this network to generate total revenue of several million euros as early as 2027.
Alongside China and Japan, franchises thus constitute a third international growth driver with a quantified revenue target for 2027, alongside Catalogue Models, whose growth is tracked excluding the Chinese joint venture.
Four sales appointments in Boston and California
In the United States, GenOway has recruited four experienced sales managers over the past few months. They cover the two main regions of the American market: the Boston area, on the East Coast, and California, on the West Coast.
According to the company, the deployment of its international entities also allows it to reallocate more internal sales resources to this market. This reinforcement complements the exclusive distribution agreement signed with Taconic Biosciences, announced on September 23, 2026, aimed at expanding the group's coverage in the United States for humanized models.
Founded in 1999 and based in Lyon, GenOway states that it operates in more than 28 countries. Its customer base includes 380 institutions and 170 life science companies, including 17 of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies.
