Haffner Energy Signs €3.2M Contract for Quebec Project
The biomass-based solutions designer has signed a contract with project company INCAD to equip the first Multi-Energy Hub in Bécancour, in Quebec's Energy Transition Valley. The agreement covers six equipment units already available in stock and associated engineering services.
Contract in Effect Since September 25, 2026
Haffner Energy announced on September 28, 2026 the signing of a contract for a firm order of 3.2 million euros with INCAD (Sustainable Fuel Integration Center), the project company responsible for developing the first Multi-Energy Hub in Bécancour, Quebec.
Effective upon signature on September 25, 2026, the contract covers six units already manufactured and available in stock, as well as associated engineering services. Other equipment for the project will be manufactured in Canada under Haffner Energy license.
Tightened Payment Schedule
The contract provides for a deposit of 480,000 euros, representing 15% of the total amount, due no later than October 12, 2026. Thirty days following FOB delivery of the equipment, 75% of the price will have been invoiced and collected.
Delivery is scheduled before the end of 2026, subject to international transport and logistics constraints. As the six equipment units are drawn from stock, their manufacturing costs have already been incurred and disbursed. With revenue recognized on a progressive basis, based on incurred costs, the allocation of these already manufactured units should enable the recognition of a substantial portion of the contract's revenue in the current fiscal year.
First Implementation of a Network Planned in Quebec
The contract is legally and economically distinct from the licensing agreement concluded with Mundi Énergies, which covers technology deployment across the entire Canadian market. As such, Haffner Energy has already received an initial license payment of 1 million euros and holds 49% of the capital of Mundi Haffner Technologies Inc.
Located in the Bécancour Industrial and Port Park, the INCAD facility is designed to produce primarily 400 Nm³/h of renewable natural gas from residual biomass, as well as biochar. Its commissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028. INCAD is the first of a network of approximately twenty Multi-Energy Hubs that Haffner Energy and Mundi Énergies plan to gradually develop in Quebec.
