Hoffmann Green Renews Its Three-Year Partnership with CSTB
Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies announced on October 5, 2026 the renewal of its collaboration with the Scientific and Technical Centre for Building (CSTB).
Two objectives have been set: to expand the uses of its 0% clinker H-UKR cement and to prepare the evaluation of H-CLAY, its new clay-based technology.
Third Renewal of a Technical Evaluation Partnership
The agreement concerns the renewal of the strategic partnership between the Vendée-based industrial company and the CSTB. According to co-founders Julien Blanchard and David Hoffmann, this is the third renewal of this collaboration.
The CSTB supports industrial companies in evaluating the performance and conditions of use of new products and processes. Hoffmann Green has been relying on this partnership for several years to submit its technologies for evaluation.
The company's stated objective is to establish documented technical frameworks for its cements, in order to facilitate their integration into construction projects and accelerate their commercial deployment.

The partnership is being renewed for an additional three years. Over this period, Hoffmann Green intends to continue working with the CSTB to expand the field of application of H-UKR to new market segments.
The two parties will also prepare the next stages of H-CLAY evaluation. This technology, developed by Hoffmann Green, makes it possible to transform clay at room temperature into a co-product intended for the formulation of 0% clinker cements.
Three Technical Opinions Obtained in 2025 for H-UKR
This renewal is based on Technical Opinions issued in 2025 for H-UKR cement. Numbering three in the same year, they were issued by the Commission responsible for formulating Technical Opinions (CCFAT), with the technical support of the CSTB.
These evaluations cover all residential construction uses, including shallow foundations and superstructures, as well as structures such as wind turbine foundations.
"We made the strategic choice early on to commit to evaluating our technologies rather than waiting for a possible evolution of standards," declared the co-founders. Jonathan Sebbane, president of the CSTB, for his part presented the innovation as a lever to accelerate the decarbonization of the construction sector.
