Icade: Raphaël Appert Succeeds Frédéric Thomas as Chairman of the Board
Raphaël Appert, a senior executive at Crédit Agricole for over 40 years, took over as Chairman of the Board of Icade on June 10, 2026. He succeeds Frédéric Thomas, according to a statement released this Wednesday.
Raphaël Appert, a graduate of EDHEC in 1983, has spent his entire career at Crédit Agricole. He has held various positions including head of the commercial network at the Sarthe regional bank (1995), director of finance and marketing for Anjou and Maine (1998), deputy general manager for Centre-East (2002), general manager of the Val-de-France bank (2005), and finally general manager of Centre-East (2010). Elected to the Board of the National Federation of Crédit Agricole in 2012, he became the deputy secretary-general in 2015, and first vice-president in May 2017.
