Inventiva among the biggest decliners in the SBF 120, down 4%
The Burgundy-based biotech specializing in fibrotic and metabolic diseases falls sharply mid-session, in a Paris market pulled lower by the drop on Wall Street. The stock ranks among the index's last-performing stocks and erases part of its recent rebound.
A 4.17% decline that places the stock at the bottom of the SBF 120
Inventiva fell 4.17% to €3.22 during the session, while the SBF 120 dropped 1.66%. The stock is among the index's biggest decliners, behind only Teleperformance, Genfit, Vivendi and a few other stocks at the bottom of the table.
Inventiva is up 6.98% over one month but down 3.74% over one week, a sharp reversal after the 10.5% rebound recorded the previous day. This decline occurred in a session dominated by the shock wave from the United States, where the Nasdaq dropped 5.52% on Thursday on technology and artificial intelligence stocks, with the VIX rising back to 26.65.
A 50-day moving average lost again and long-term averages still far away
In terms of technical levels, the price has fallen back below the 50-day moving average at €3.25 (a gap of -0.92%), after having regained it in early November, while remaining above the 20-day moving average at €3.10.
The 200-day moving average, at €4.10, remains more than 21% above the price, a reminder of the scale of the three-month decline (-16.9%). The support at €2.65 is still far off, while the resistance at €3.55 was approached earlier this week.
On the fundamentals, when the first-half 2026 results were published (on July 29, 2026), the company indicated a cash runway limited to the end of the second quarter of 2027 without additional financing, whereas the €103 million offering and the €75 million financing operation announced on June 2, 2026 strengthened its balance sheet. Tranche C of this financing can bring in up to an additional €20 million.
