Inventiva breaks above €3.55 and jumps 5% intraday
The Burgundy-based biotech specialising in fibrotic and metabolic diseases accelerates sharply at midday, in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock posts one of the best performances in the index and extends a rebound that began several weeks ago.
A 30-session high cleared, now acting as support at €3.55
Inventiva gains 5.07% to €3.73, after breaking above its 30-session high at €3.55, which has now become support. The stock is up 13.89% over the week, while the SBF 120 advances 1.49% intraday, and ranks among the strongest gainers in the index.
The share price is above the 20-day moving average (MM20) by 21.50% and above the 50-day moving average (MM50) by 13.37%, while the 200-day moving average (MM200) at €4.13 is 9.69% below the share price. The RSI at 65 accompanies this rise without signalling overbought conditions. The next resistance is identified at €5.02. The stock has already regained its 50-day moving average on Tuesday.
Strengthened cash position, but no revenue in the first half
When the H1 2026 results were published on 29 July, the company reported no revenue, compared with €4.5 million a year earlier. It also indicated that its cash did not cover operating requirements over the next twelve months, with a horizon limited to the end of the second quarter of 2027 without additional financing.
On the other side, an equity offering of €103 million and a €75 million financing transaction had been announced on 2 June 2026.
Inventiva is listed in Paris (ordinary share IVA, eligible for the PEA) and on the Nasdaq (IVA ADS, one ADS per share). After a rise of 18.6% over one month, the stock remains 9.69% below its 200-day moving average, a level at €4.13 that borders the €5.02 resistance zone.
