Klarsen stock drops over 14%, bucking CAC 40 trend
The correction is severe for Klarsen this Friday: the share of the Bordeaux-based data marketing specialist falls sharply, while still maintaining a comfortable lead over its main moving averages. This decline occurs in an already difficult week for the security, which had nevertheless delivered several major announcements.
A 14% intraday decline that erases part of the quarterly rebound
The Klarsen share loses 14.39% during the session, at €1.13, in a nonetheless favorable market context: the CAC 40 gains 1.06% and the SBF 120 advances 1%. The correction clearly isolates the stock, whose monthly volatility of 47.12% recalls the highly volatile nature of trading in this small-cap security. Over one week, the decline reaches 10%, which tempers part of the strong quarterly rebound of 103.1% accumulated since the end of May. The €1.40 resistance level was not breached, and it is from this ceiling level that the stock is moving lower again, as buyers appear to be taking a pause after an exceptional run.
Moving averages remain well below the price, RSI neutral at 64
Despite today's fall, the technical configuration of Klarsen remains structurally bullish over the medium term. The price at €1.13 still stands 14.14% above the MA20 (€0.99), 71.21% above the MA50 (€0.66) and 48.68% above the MA200 (€0.76): these three moving averages form a distant base, with no immediate threat of a bearish crossover. The RSI at 64 remains in neutral territory, far from oversold conditions, reflecting a short-term pullback rather than fundamental exhaustion.
The recent corporate context provides substantive elements: the appointment of Olivier Cornelis as Chief Executive Officer of ITL Datamarketing, announced on August 18, had formalized a governance reorganization, while the launch of Dimea, a subsidiary dedicated to dietary supplements in e-commerce, was communicated on August 26. The €1.40 resistance threshold represents the first level to overcome for the stock to regain positive momentum.
