Lagardère Radio Appoints Donat Vidal Revel as General Manager of Radio Stations
Arnaud Lagardère, managing partner of Lagardère Radio SCA, appointed Donat Vidal Revel as the general manager of the group's radio stations on Monday. This appointment is effective immediately and is part of a reorganization of the governance of the radio division.
An Appointment Effective Immediately
Donat Vidal Revel now holds the position of general manager of the radios at Lagardère Radio SCA, responsible for the editorial, programming, and broadcasting of the three stations (Europe 1, Europe 2, and RFM). He remains attached to Constance Benqué, general manager of Lagardère Radio SCA and president of Europe 1, Europe 2, and RFM. This appointment, effective as of Monday, June 29, 2026, maintains Vidal Revel's previous roles: he continues as director of information and general manager of Europe 1. Alain Liberty, general manager of the music radios, will now report directly to him.
A Professional in the Sector for Three Decades
Donat Vidal Revel began his career at LCI as a journalist and reporter from 1994 to 1996, before joining Europe 1 in 1996, where he served successively as a reporter, regional correspondent, senior reporter, and presenter until 2007. He was then appointed deputy general manager of information and programming at LCM (La Chaîne Marseille). He joined the Les Échos group in 2008 as editorial director and deputy general manager, before leading Radio Classique. In 2012, he became deputy director for digital information at Les Échos, and in 2015, deputy director of the editorial staff of the daily newspaper Le Parisien. He joined the Lagardère group in 2017 as director of information at Europe 1, before being appointed general manager of Europe 1 in 2022.
