Leading the SBF 120, Nanobiotix stock climbs 6.5% and defends its support level
The Parisian biotech company posts the strongest gain on the broader index at midday, in a market oriented downwards. This rebound comes after a very difficult monthly sequence, which had pushed the stock below its main technical benchmarks.
A 6.4% rebound that arrives at the contact of the €24.36 support level
Nanobiotix stock gains 6.39% to €24.32 during the session, while the SBF 120 falls 0.94% and the CAC 40 1.06%. The stock emerges from a month down 27.4% and a week down 16.6%, but maintains a gain of 43% over twelve months. The price is less than 0.2% below the €24.36 support level, a level it has just defended after several sessions of decline. The RSI at 27 reflects the exhaustion of sellers over recent weeks.
The 20-day moving average at €29.56 is nearly 21.5% above the price, and the 200-day moving average at €28.69 is more than 15% above. Declared net short positions reach 1.26% of capital, driven by two funds, with an increase of 1.26 points over thirty days according to consulted filings. This rapid rise indicates that institutional investors have positioned themselves downside on the stock in recent weeks, but the cumulative level remains modest. This point deserves to be monitored without being interpreted in isolation.
A half-year financed through 2029 and a partnership with Johnson & Johnson
The September decline was not accompanied by negative news on the balance sheet. The results for the first half of 2026, published on September 24, show cash of €110.9 million, compared to €52.8 million at the end of December 2025, following a capital increase of approximately €86 million completed in May. The company states that these liquid assets finance its operations through 2029. Nanobiotix is developing the NBTXR3 radioamplifier (JNJ-1900) in oncology, combined with radiotherapy, in partnership with Johnson & Johnson.
On September 14, it had communicated phase 1 data in non-small cell lung cancer, with 79% locoregional control at one year, a trial that did not prevent the stock from declining the same day. The company is listed in Paris and, in ADS form, on the Nasdaq, which closed Friday's session up 1.66%.
