Maurel et Prom shares slip back below their 7.68 € support
The hydrocarbon producer gives up ground during the session, in a Parisian market that is nonetheless well oriented. This decline places it among the sharpest drops in the broad index, while oil falls more steeply.
A decline that makes the stock one of the biggest decliners in the SBF 120
The Maurel et Prom stock loses 4.3% to 7.79 €, while the SBF 120 gains 0.4% at the same time. The stock ranks among the sharpest decliners in the index, just behind Alstom and Nanobiotix. This drop erases in a single morning the gain from the session of October 21, but the stock still holds a 61.5% gain over one year.
Brent, for its part, falls 4.1% to $108.73 per barrel, extending a week showing -4.9% for both the barrel and the stock (-3.3% over seven days for the stock).

The price trades below its MM20 and MM50, both at 8.07 €, with a gap of 3.5%. It also sits well below the MM200 (8.60 €). The 7.68 € support is now only 1.4% away from the price, and the RSI at 40 shows a decline that has not yet exhausted sellers.
On the fundamentals side, the group's valued production rose 32% over nine months, to $521 M, thanks to an average selling price of $98.8 per barrel. According to the consensus of the analysts surveyed, the stock trades at 6 times the earnings of the current fiscal year. The 7.68 € level is the technical threshold to watch in the coming sessions.
