Mercialys share declines 2.5% and slides toward support level, -17.5% over three months
The shopping center real estate investment trust resumes its downward slide during trading, in a Paris market also heavily oriented downward. The stock is moving away from its moving averages as tension over French debt resurges following weekend violence.
A decline of 2.44% that contrasts with an SBF 120 at -1.3%
Mercialys share loses 2.44% to €9.61 during trading, more than the SBF 120, which is down 1.3%, and the CAC 40, at -1.33%. The stock ranks among the steepest declines in the index, in a market penalized by rising bond yields: the 10-year OAT stands at 4.79% according to the latest reading from the Banque de France on October 16, or 1.37 points above the Bund. After a rebound movement last week, the stock falls below its 20-day moving average (€9.79, a gap of 1.84%), while the 50-day moving average (€10.60) and 200-day moving average (€11.39) remain well above the current price.
It has lost nearly 18% over three months and is approaching its support level at €9.41, a level close to its lowest point since 2023 reached in early October. Over the week, it nonetheless maintains a gain of 1.6%.
A positive activity update and 2026 targets confirmed
In a press release published on October 15 after closing, Mercialys reported rents up 2.5% over nine months, traffic growth of 5.4% and a financial occupancy rate of 98.2%. The real estate investment trust confirmed its targets for 2026. The stock had rebounded the following day, before losing ground again since.
According to the consensus of analysts surveyed, Mercialys share is trading at approximately 7.3 times expected earnings for the current fiscal year, with earnings per share growth of 2% anticipated from one fiscal year to the next. The stock is down 17.7% over three months, a decline attributed in recent news to rising yields, and remains €9.41 away from its support level.
