Nexans shares recover but fall 11.5% over one month
Nexans, the cable maker based in Courbevoie, rebounds mid-session in a well-oriented Parisian market. This rebound follows two weeks marked by a slide after the publication of its third-quarter results, and the stock remains below its three reference moving averages.
A rebound that leaves the stock below its three moving averages
Nexans gains 1.94% to €120.80, but the move remains modest compared with the recent slide: the stock has fallen 2.66% over one week and 11.44% over one month.
The price is below the MA20 (a gap of -1.76%), which serves as the first level to reclaim, while the MA50 and MA200 are further above.
The RSI at 44 remains neutral, leaving the rebound without an overbought signal. In the SBF 120 index, Nexans is rising slightly faster than the index as a whole, which is up 0.58%. The support at €113.60 remains the nearest technical floor, while resistance lies at €135.90.
Third-quarter revenue up 21.4%, annual targets confirmed
The recent decline contrasts with the figures published on October 22: third-quarter revenue reached €1,698.2 million, up 21.4%, including 9.0% organic growth. The group confirmed its annual outlook, with adjusted EBITDA targeted between €770 and €805 million for 2026.
Among the points of caution cited in this release was the PWR-Transmission business, which recorded negative organic growth of 4.0% in the third quarter, with an even higher comparison base in the fourth quarter.
Conversely, PWR-Grid grew 14.8% organically over the same period. Over twelve months, the group also bought back €42 million of shares, equivalent to 0.8% of its market capitalization.
