NN Group: Tjeerd Bosklopper to Succeed David Knibbe as Head of the Insurer

An Executive Who Has Been a Member of the Executive Board Since 2018

Tjeerd Bosklopper currently heads NN Netherlands Non-life, Bank & Technology, where he is responsible for the Dutch non-life and banking activities as well as technology. He has been a member of the Executive Board of NN Group since September 2018.

Since 2024, he has overseen the launch and implementation of Future Ready, a digital transformation programme rolled out across the entire group. He previously held several management positions at NN and ING, in the Netherlands and internationally, after starting at ING in an international management trainee programme.

The appointment envisaged by the Supervisory Board has received the approval of the Dutch central bank and a favourable opinion from the central works council. It will take effect upon notification to the annual general meeting of 12 May 2027. David Cole, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, highlighted the choice of "a successor from within the company".

A CEO-Designate Appointed to the Management Board as of 1 March 2027

To ensure continuity, and in accordance with NN Group's articles of association, the Supervisory Board has appointed Tjeerd Bosklopper as CEO-designate. In this capacity, he will occupy the seat left vacant on the Management Board from 1 March 2027, until his appointment takes effect.

David Knibbe spent nearly 30 years at NN and in the organisations that preceded it, including 13 years on the Executive Board and almost 8 years as CEO. He described this moment as a "good time" to take on a new challenge and said he had worked alongside his successor for more than 20 years.

The succession process for the position of CEO Netherlands Non-life, Banking & Technology has been launched, and further announcements will follow. Additional information will be included in the notice of the general meeting, available from 30 March 2027.
