Orange shares give up 2% but keep a 7% lead over one month
The telecom operator's stock falls mid-session in a Paris market heavily tilted to the downside. The move follows a rebound underway since the quarterly results published at the end of October.
Moving in line with the index, after a rebound that remains intact
Orange shares fall 1.92% to €15.05, slightly more than the CAC 40, which drops 1.65% intraday, in a context of strong risk aversion after the Wall Street correction (-5.52% for the Nasdaq on Thursday).
The stock is therefore not an exception: it sits in the middle of the index ranking, well away from the most affected stocks such as Capgemini, Kering or LVMH.
Before this decline, it had gained more than 7% over one month and 4.19% over the week, even though it remains 5.38% lower over three months. The third-quarter accounts, published at the end of October, were followed by an upward revision of the EBITDAaL target and the announcement of a targeted dividend of €0.79 for 2026.
The MA20 and MA50 contain the decline, the MA200 remains out of reach
Despite the decline of the day, the price remains above the MA20 (€14.41, a gap of 4.41%) and the MA50 (€14.64, a gap of 2.77%), two levels that have framed the rebound since the start of the month.
The MA200, at €16.50, is however 8.82% above the price, a reminder of the scale of the ground lost since spring.
The RSI at 60 is neutral. The stock has run into resistance at €15.34, the previous day's closing price, while the nearest support lies at €13.71. Among European operators, Telefónica falls 2.67% and Deutsche Telekom 1.45% this Friday: the decline is affecting the entire sector in Europe.
