Orange shares rebound 5% over the week but remain down 9.8% over three months
The telecoms operator's stock continues its rebound in a well-oriented Paris market. It moves into the top half of the index ranking after several difficult months. The session extends the movement that began following the quarterly results publication.
A rebound that brings the price back above its short-term averages
Orange shares gain 1.87% to €14.98 intraday, while the CAC 40 rises 1.52%.
The stock has broken above the high of its last 30 sessions at €14.70, a level that now acts as support. As a result, it trades above its 20-day moving average (MM20, €14.29, a gap of +4.79%) as well as its 50-day moving average (MM50, €14.63, a gap of +2.36%).
The RSI at 63 remains in neutral territory, leaving room for the movement before any overbought configuration.
Over the week, the gain reaches 5.01%, but the 200-day moving average (MM200) at €16.50 remains 9.24% above the price, and the stock still falls 9.82% over three months. Orange is thus following the momentum of its resistance broken the previous day, which set off the rebound.
European telecoms advance together, from Madrid to Frankfurt
The movement goes beyond Orange alone. Deutsche Telekom gains 1.78% in Frankfurt, Telecom Italia 1.88% in Milan and Telefónica 0.81% in Madrid, these three stocks being quoted intraday. In the United States, operators finished mixed on Tuesday: Verizon rose 0.42%, AT&T fell 0.23% and T-Mobile US gained 3.58%.
Orange, for its part, had raised on October 27 its 2026 EBITDAaL target, with a targeted dividend of €0.79, when publishing its third-quarter accounts.
The stock maintains a marked gap with its spring highs, as shown by its quarterly decline. The next technical level to watch is the MM200, at €16.50.
