The pharmaceutical group falls sharply mid-session, in a Parisian market trending lower after the correction in technology stocks on Wall Street. The stock posts one of the most pronounced declines in the index, after reaching a multi-month high this week.
A 2.92% decline that interrupts the rebound under way since October
Sanofi shares fall 2.92% to €82.06, among the steepest declines in the CAC 40, which drops 1.43% to 8,088.27 points. The stock had broken through its 150-session high of €82.03 on Wednesday, following the upward revision of its 2026 targets and a third quarter up 14.3% at constant exchange rates.
Today's decline comes amid strong tension, with the VIX at 26.39 versus 16.61 the previous day.
Despite this pullback, the stock remains 8.04% above its MM20 and 6.97% above its MM200, and shows a gain of 17.25% over one month. The RSI at 68 indicates a stock that has remained close to overbought territory after this rise.
