Sopra Steria at the bottom of the SBF 120, down 2.5% despite a 16.8% gain over one month
The Annecy-based digital services group is falling mid-session in a Paris market clearly trending lower. The move follows a month of strong gains and a quarterly publication accompanied by a raised target.
A 2.5% decline after a marked month-long rebound
Sopra Steria shares fell 2.48% to €192.30 during the session, compared with €197.20 the previous day. At the same time, the SBF 120 was down 1.64%, placing the stock in the lower part of the index ranking.
The decline remains modest given the 16.83% gain recorded over one month, and the share price remains well above its three moving averages: the gap stands at 4.42% with the MA20 and 11.43% with the MA50.
The RSI at 64 reflects a stock that remains well oriented, without overbought excess. The session takes place in a Paris market affected by the sharp correction on Wall Street on Thursday, where the Nasdaq dropped 5.52%, while the CAC 40 fell 1.63%.
Support at €161.40 is far below, while resistance at €198.20 lies about 3% above the current price.
A stronger-than-expected third quarter and the acquisition of a Daher business
On October 29, the group published revenue of €1,420.1 million for the third quarter, up 7.9%, with organic growth of 4.3% compared with 3.0% in the first half. It raised its organic growth target for 2026 for the second time this year. On November 2, Sopra Steria then completed the acquisition of an aeronautical engineering business from Daher, which strengthens its aerospace division.
On the capital side, a €40 million share buyback programme was announced on July 30: over twelve months, €190 million of shares have been repurchased, representing 5.1% of market capitalisation. The share has gained 48.04% over one year, and the Sopra Steria share trades about 28% above its MA200, at €150.61.
