Stellantis Partners with Microsoft for 5 Years: AI, Cybersecurity, and 100 Joint Projects
On April 16, 2026, Stellantis and Microsoft announced a strategic five-year collaboration to accelerate the digital transformation of the automaker through the co-development of advanced capabilities in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and engineering.
A Fusion of Expertise and Technology
The partnership brings together Stellantis' automotive engineering expertise, multi-brand scale, and global operations with Microsoft's cloud, AI, and security capabilities. The two companies are co-developing over 100 AI initiatives in customer service, product development, and operations. This collaboration includes the deployment of a global AI-driven cyber defense covering IT systems, connected vehicles, manufacturing sites, and Stellantis' digital products.
Modernizing Infrastructure with Microsoft Azure
Stellantis is modernizing its infrastructure through Microsoft Azure, targeting a 60% reduction in data center footprint by 2029. This transformation is part of a strategy to enhance the reliability and scalability of digital and connected services, as well as to strengthen operational resilience across global manufacturing and logistics chains.
Enterprise-Scale AI Tools Deployment
As part of the collaboration, Stellantis is deploying enterprise-grade AI tools globally. All employees have access to Copilot Chat, while an initial deployment of 20,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses supports selected roles. A dedicated training program at Stellantis assists teams in effectively applying these AI capabilities.
