Technip Energies Shares Dip to Technical Support at €34.28
In the mid-afternoon, the French oil services company weakens in an almost stable SBF 120 market. The stock erases part of its rebound from last week and returns to a closely watched technical support.
A Decline Bringing the Stock Back to Its Support at €34.28
Technip Energies shares drop by 1.7% to €33.52, while the SBF 120 remains flat at 6,297.54 points. The stock returns to its support level at €34.28, slightly breaking through it during the session after attempting a rebound earlier in the month. This movement is part of a broader consolidation: the stock has lost 18.44% over three months and 8.22% over a year. The RSI at 44 remains in a neutral zone, with no sign of exhaustion, while the price is below its three moving averages, 5.10% below the MM20 (€35.32) and 9.70% below the MM50 (€37.12). This positioning reflects a deteriorated short-term dynamic, which the 5.5% rebound on July 3rd did not manage to reverse sustainably.
A Tense Energy Environment Impacting the Visibility of the Oil Services Sector
The sectoral context remains challenging. Tensions between Washington and Tehran, with the resumption of airstrikes announced this week, keep a high-risk premium on energy markets and complicate the outlook for investment in the downstream oil and gas sector. The latest IEA report, published on June 15, also revised down the global oil demand for the second quarter of 2026 by -5.00 Mb/d, a signal that weighs on the trajectory of engineering projects in the sector. Operationally, Technip Energies announced at the end of June the commercial launch of Nerea, a chemical recycling solution developed with Alterra and Neste, which illustrates the group's pivot towards low-carbon activities. The nearest technical resistance is at €37.48, a level the stock has not retested since mid-June.
