Vivendi shares recover a 30-session high at €1.74
The media group continues its recovery in early afternoon trading, in a Paris market trending higher. The stock extends a sharp rebound but remains well below its levels of a year ago.
A breakout that turns former resistance into support
Vivendi shares gained 2.3% to €1.74 during the session, placing them above the 30-session high (€1.70). This level, now broken to the upside, is acting as support. The move is part of a broader trend: the stock has risen 14.4% over one week and 22.2% over one month.
The price also trades above its 20-day moving average (+11.4%) and its 50-day moving average (+14.3%), but remains below its 200-day moving average, at €1.91, or 9% higher. On the index, the stock ranks among the strongest gainers in the SBF 120, while the SBF 120 itself is up 0.78%.
A rapid rebound that leaves an annual decline of nearly 42%
The RSI at 71 signals an overbought condition following this upward sequence. The next technical level identified is resistance at €2.36. The recent rebound should be put into perspective: over one year, the loss amounts to 41.9%, and the 2.6% gain over three months offsets only a small part of that decline.
Vivendi, now a holding company with equity stakes (Gameloft, V Collection, UMG, Banijay, MFE, Prisa, Lagardère), published on October 20 revenue of €77 million for the third quarter, up 13.8%, with net debt reduced to €1,279 million.
In a context where the 10-year French government bond (OAT) trades at 4.75%, the stock is currently approaching its 200-day moving average.
