Vivendi share climbs above €1.63 and gains 7.5% over the week
The media and entertainment group rebounds sharply at midday, in a Parisian market trading higher. This rebound comes after several weeks of selling pressure and a very difficult year for the holding company.
A rebound that brings the stock back above its short-term moving averages
Vivendi gains 2.7% to €1.67 intraday, while the CAC 40 rises 1.54% and the SBF 120 rises 1.5%.
The stock has broken upward through its 30-session high (€1.63), which has now become a support level. It now trades 8% above the MM20 (€1.55) and more than 10% above the MM50 (€1.52), extending a 7.2% gain over the week.
The RSI at 66 accompanies this move without reaching overbought territory. After a 3.5% decline on October 28, the stock is erasing part of that drop. It nevertheless remains 12.8% below its MM200 (€1.92), and the 45.4% decline over one year has not been reversed.
Three quarters of debt reduction and an investment portfolio valued at €4.2 billion
On October 20, 2026, Vivendi reported third-quarter revenue of €77 million, up 13.8% year on year, and net financial debt reduced to €1,279 million as of September 30. Its investment portfolio was valued at €4,239 million at that date, compared with €5,117 million three months earlier.
On October 16, the stock had already broken through its €1.56 resistance after a five-year low, and gained 2.5% on October 8. The next technical obstacle is the €2.36 resistance, well above the current price, while the €1.63 support marks the zone broken through at midday today.
